Python Versions
Python evolves through regular releases, and this section tracks 6 of them: Python 3.13, Python 3.12, Python 3.11, Python 3.10, Python 3.9, Python 3.8. Each version page lists every major feature that release added, with a description of what the feature does and a short code example showing it in action — from the pattern matching of 3.10 and the performance work in 3.11 to the improved error messages of 3.12 and the experimental JIT compiler in 3.13. Knowing which release introduced a feature tells you whether you can use it on the Python version deployed in your environment, and what to fall back to when you must support older interpreters. Follow the links from each feature to the full function and module reference pages for complete syntax and parameter details.
