Core Language — Built-in functions, statements, type hints, data classes, enums. This group brings together the Built-in Functions, Statements & Keywords, Typing Module, Dataclasses Module, Enum Module, ABC Module, Keyword Module, String Constants categories of the Python standard library. print() prints objects to the text stream, separated by `sep` and followed by `end`. len() returns the length (number of items) of an object. Works with sequences, collections, and strings. range() returns an immutable sequence of numbers. Commonly used in for loops. type() returns the type of an object, or creates a new type with three arguments. int() converts a number or string to an integer, or returns 0 if no arguments. Representative APIs from this group include print(), len(), range(), type(), int(), float(), str(), bool(). Each category page in this group lists its functions with syntax, parameters, return values, and runnable examples, so the group works as a map of a whole area of the standard library.
