str.format()
str.format() is a Python method in the String Methods category. Performs string formatting using placeholders. The syntax is str.format(*args, **kwargs). Parameters: args, kwargs — formatting values. Returns: Formatted string. A typical example: "Hello {}!".format("World") # "Hello World!"
"{a} + {b} = {c}".format(a=1, b=2, c=3) # "1 + 2 = 3". A close sibling is str.upper(), which returns a copy of the string with all characters converted to uppercase.
