About Python Reference
Python Reference is a free, independent online documentation project covering 978+ Python functions, methods, and modules across 114 categories of the standard library. The goal is simple: every page should answer the questions a developer actually has when they look something up — what the syntax is, what each parameter means, what comes back, and how the API behaves in a real code example. Alongside the per-function reference, the site includes 48 long-form guides, 15 reusable code snippets, a glossary, per-release feature lists, and a browser-based playground. Everything runs locally in your browser, there is no account and no paywall, and the content is maintained to track current CPython releases.
